Susan Robinson joined the voluntary sector in 1986 after six years in Education & Resettlement in the WRNS. She has worked as a Fundraiser, Appeals Manager, Director of Fundraising, Assistant Director of Sense Scotland and Managing Director of Fundraising HQ Ltd.
Developing a broad understanding of fundraising, Sue has worked throughout the UK, in Denmark, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. Since 1999 she has worked with the Institute of Fundraising as an Approved Trainer – training, tutoring and assessing students undertaking the Certificate in Fundraising.

Passionate about fundraising and fundraisers, Sue mentors and supports fundraisers in their career and professional development. She has served as a Trustee and Professional Development Committee member of the UK Institute of Fundraising, where she worked on the development of the IoF’s professional qualifications framework; and as a committee and active member of the Institute in Scotland. Sue has undertaken voluntary roles as Trustee of Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland and the Scottish Community Foundation, (now Foundation Scotland). She has worked on the National Occupational Standards Committee to develop the last two sets of NOS in Fundraising. As a Member of the IoF since 1988, she was awarded IoF Scotland’s ‘Services to Fundraising’ prize in 1998, and elected a Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising in 1999.
